Darley Richard Twiddyreceived her law degree from the Florida Coastal School of Law in Jacksonville, Florida, (Juris Doctor, with honors) in May, 2012 . She joined Bartlett & Spirn, P.L.C. in Williamsburg, in April, 2016. She was born and raised in Virginia Beach, Virginia. She graduated from James Madison University with a Bachelor of Arts in English and a double minor in Criminal Justice and Dance in 2009.
While in law school, Mrs. Twiddy was an active and prominent member of both the Moot Court Honor Board and the Mock Trial Team, earning various awards including Best Advocate for her trial skills. She clerked for a civil litigation firm and volunteered at two area Mental Health Courts. Mrs. Twiddy is a member of the legal honors fraternity, Phi Delta Phi.
After law school, Mrs. Twiddyreturned to Virginia, where she worked for a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business Defense Contractor in Virginia Beach. She also volunteered at the Norfolk Public Defender's Office before moving to Williamsburg to open her own law practice. There, Mrs. Twiddy focused on mental health, special education, and criminal defense.
Mrs. Twiddy is currently very active in the Williamsburg community. She serves as Secretary for the Williamsburg affiliate of the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI). She is a Board member for Bacon Street Youth & Family Services. She is the Treasurer for Young Emerging Professionals of Williamsburg. She also teaches fitness classes.
